I’m happy to report that after Nick Silver’s dip into depression in Episode Twelve, he’s now back on top and as confident as every in lucky number thirteen. In this shorter-than-average clip, Nick dances, he primps, and he spouts off about the current state of the industry from a surprisingly optimistic standpoint. Ten guys may not be sharing a billion dollars anymore, but the industry is coming back to what’s important: the music. Check out the video below, and as always, you can head over to LegendsofLaLa.com to watch all of the episodes in this fantastic series by Matthew Arnold.
Besides being responsible for the very shoes currently upon my feet, Converse is now providing the music entering my ears with their succinctly titled “3 Artists 1 Song” project. The Chuck creators will be releasing the results of a collaboration between three unique but equally talented artists—Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast, Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend, and Kid Cudi—as a free download on their website later this month.
With more artists being added each week, it’s getting harder and harder to choose “What’s In My Bag” videos to share with you. This week I went with the Grammy-nominated Phonte, one-half of Foreign Exchange and one-half of Little Brother, because like myself, he feels like a “kid in a candy store” whenever he enters Amoeba. Glad I’m not the only glutton for music.
