Frontman Rivers Cuomo has officially confirmed that Weezer is looking into a Pinkerton/Blue Album tour. The video below shows Cuomo talking to MTV about the tour and what it will take to make it happen. Check it out and let us know if you would go. I know I would.
Just because I can, I am about to bombard you with Portugal. The Man awesomeness. First up, the announcement that the band will be opening for Primus on their “The Oddity Faire 2010″ tour this fall before embarking on a string of headlining dates. Pop punk fans have a lot to look forward to this fall with last month’s announcement that Motion City Soundtrack and Say Anything have decided to hit the road together with special guests Saves the Day. To whet your appetite for the tour, Saves the Day is offering a free acoustic version of their new track “Let It All Go” for download. Tickets are on presale now and go on sale to the public this Friday, so check out the song to get a little taste of what you can expect from the tour.

After just coming off a show in his hometown of Chicago opening for Chris Shiflett and the Dead Peasants, LA transplant Adam Bones will be back in SoCal this Friday to play The Joint’s International Pop Overthrow. What might one expect to see at this show, you ask? Rock and roll that’s a little grungy, a little raw, and a whole lot of fun.

This fall, Motion City Soundtrack and Say Anything will hit the road for a 30 date co-headlining tour, and as if those two bands weren’t enough of a reason to see the show, Saves the Day will be on the entire tour also, with Valencia and A Great Big Pile of Leaves sharing the opener responsibilities. The tour kicks off in San Diego and then hits LA and Anaheim the following two days, so if something happens to where you miss the LA performance, you can just take a little drive down to Anaheim to catch what is sure to be a great show.
September is a good month for Michael Franti fans. Not only will the barefooted bay area artist be dropping his seventh studio album, The Sound of Sunshine, on September 21st, but he’s now announced that he’ll also be kicking off a tour two days prior!
Franti and Spearhead will be hitting Club Nokia the day after the album is released, so LA area fans have a whole 24 hours to learn all the new songs before the show. In an industry that is based around singles, some bands might scare at the thought of releasing an album that is meant to be listened to from beginning to end. Everest is not one of these bands.
