The best part of Shannon Curtis’ performance at the Hotel Café this weekend was her laugh. Not to detract anything from the actual performance—her songs were delightfully catchy and her sweet yet strong voice filled the room—but the burst of laughter that would emit from the Marissa Tomei-doppelgänger at the end of each song was just too endearing to go unnoticed. It was as if she were so overwhelmed by the crowd’s enthusiastic applause that the joy she felt bubbled over in the form of a wrinkled nose and that little giggle. She was obviously enjoying herself just as much as the crowd was.
