Down’s highly anticipated (and repeatedly delayed) first DVD outing, Diary of a Mad Band, will finally hit shelves on October 5th. Featuring video footage of the band on their inaugural European tour, the DVD spotlights more than 2 hours of live video material, along with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage. Additionally, a live CD will also accompany the effort.

Diary of a Mad Band was originally aimed for an early-2010 release, but was continuously pushed back due to unexpected legalities. Speaking on the topic during our July interview with Anselmo, he commented: “I’m letting the lawyers handle all that shit…I don’t even know what the squabble is, to tell you the truth.”

Kylie Minogue is taking the world by storm with another amazing video, this time for “Get Outta My Way,” her second single off of her ELEVENTH studio album. Kylie exudes sexiness in this glamorous video, and the song itself is filled with that fun positivity that I’ve been familiar with since 2001’s Fever

This morning Kings of Leon released their new video for the track “Radioactive.” Even though the track has been around since Aha Shake Heartbreak, according to the below interview with Jared, it’s one of the track that the band stuck with until they got it right. Personally I am glad they got it right as I am sure they did with the rest of the album as well. I feel like it really goes to the band’s roots with integrating the gospel choirs and what looks to be a family gathering. Check out the video below, and let us know what you think in the comments. For a little more insight on the band’s thoughts, check out the interview below the video.

The solo project of Aaron Bruno, former member of Under the Influence of Giants and Home Town Hero, AWOLNATION crosses into more genres than can be listed, but blends these various influences seamlessly. A bit pop, a bit hip-hop, and more than a dash punk rock, AWOLNATION has provide support to acts ranging from MGMT to Weezer, and while the project’s debut release, the Back From Earth EP, only contains five tracks, all five hold up to countless repetitions (believe me, I know from experience). After hearing a few of the unreleased AWOLNATION songs during Bruno’s SSMF performance, I really can’t wait to see what he releases next. Here’s hoping I don’t wear out the “repeat” feature on my iTunes player before the next album drops.

LA Music Blog recently talked to Aaron Bruno about the decision to go solo, the process of writing with one of his idols, and how he came up with the name AWOLNATION.

Hurley doesn’t hit stores for another week, but today you can listen to the album in full on the band’s Myspace. This is the band’s first album released through Epitaph Records (a personal favorite), and Weezer has returned with what I would like to call a “back to the basics” album, which reminds me of a younger more energetic band (plus how could you not love the cover)! Check out the album and let us know your thoughts after you take a listen.

You can pre-order Hurley here.

Yay for new album releases, my favorite thing about Tuesdays besides the fact that they aren’t Mondays. Although this week, Tuesday is kind of like Monday since Monday was a holiday. Hmm, at least I have new album releases to help me kick start the shortened week. Check out the albums we’re excited about below, and be sure to let us know in the comments what you’ll be picking up today.

Shannon recently talked to Megadeth founding member, Dave Ellefson, who has reunited with the band just in time for this release.

Robyn is back on the scene in a big way with the revolutionary, three-part release of Body Talk. I’ve been wanting more from Robyn since 2008’s “Cobrastyle,” one her futuristic and brilliant singles on the Rakamonie EP, and now I’ve got it. Last month, Robyn wrapped up her US dates for her All Hearts Tour with Kelis, but she’s not stopping anytime soon. This second part of her three-part release out today is an eight-track continuation of Body Talk Pt. 1, released just in June, which featured the singles “Fembot” and “Dancing on My Own.”
