LA Music Blog is a blog about music based out of Los Angeles. See how we went all self-explanatory with the name? Keepin’ it simple folks. We also keep the scope of our site simple. If it involves music, we want to talk about it. Our bloggers write album reviews, cover live music events, interview artists and industry professionals, and constantly update the site’s Calendar of Events—be sure to check it out if you’re looking for a great live music experience in the Los Angeles area.

We’ll bring the music. It’s up to you to bring the feedback. We encourage users to post comments with their own opinions. Let us know what you would have asked that band we interviewed or what you thought about that show we covered the other day. Be a part of LA Music Blog because without the fans, there is no music industry.

Without these people, LA Music Blog wouldn’t be possible:

Kristin Houser
Kristin Houser’s parents were taking her to concerts while she was still in the womb and thus her love of all things musical was born before she was. If music isn’t within earshot, she sings, so it’s probably best for everyone that music is usually playing whenever she’s around. (She’s also a writer who isn’t afraid to end a sentence with a preposition.)
Jamie Flenner
Darrick Williams
Mikiel Houser
Megan Driscoll
Megan Driscoll hails from the Midwest and is a freelance writer/editor, student, and poor customer service representative. When not engaging in these activities, she can most often be found looking up dirty words in the dictionary or being rude to old people.
Shannon Joy
Marina Mularz
A native Chicagoan, Marina Mularz is on a quest to spread the renewal of mix tapes, much like a Johnny Appleseed of obsolete technology. When not fighting the good fight, she can be found reading classic lit, writing essays and quoting last week's 30 Rock.
Jaime Jessup
Jaime Jessup sprang fully grown from her mother’s head, and has since gone on to defeat the dreaded Hydra, capture the golden fleece, and kick Atalanta’s slacker ass in a foot race.  Or not.  But she did marry her best friend and is a writer in Los Angeles, which is also pretty damn heroic.
