I think I speak for all of us Angeleno musicheads when I say we’re honored to have Flying Lotus call our hometown, well, home. The LA electronic artist and Brainfeeder label mastermind will be back here from two nights in October after debuting an insane interactive 3D concert at this past summer’s FYF Fest. He’s beginning a new North American tour showcasing the set – this time, kicking it off amongst the dead at the storied Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Hot off this new experimental set and his directorial film debut Kuso, Flying Lotus will be bringing his Brainfeeder labelmate and fellow Angeleno Thundercat, who himself recently released the excellent new album Drunk, to the Fairbanks Lawn on Saturday and Sunday, October 14th and 15th.

You can find footage of the 3D set from FYF Fest on YouTube, but it won’t be the real deal unless you’re actually there, in which you can expect to hear a fusion of Flying Lotus’s discography while wearing glasses to enhance the senses and enter a new chamber of his sonic wonderland. It will be even more elevated considering you are witnessing this event under the stars and in the presence of the tombs and grave sites of many of pop culture’s most distinguished features.

Tickets and parking passes are still available through Ticketfly, though don’t expect it to stay that way. Mark your calendars.
