Mondays can be stressful and you might be in need of some extra relaxation and art at the end of the day. If this sounds like you, you should definitely check out R.LUM.R’s show at Bardot in Hollywood this coming Monday, July 17th.

It’s easy to see why R.LUM.R was recently named one of Rolling Stone’s “10 New Artists You Need To Know”. With a sound that’s unique and created by who clearly possesses a deep knowledge of music, his album is not something you want to miss. It’s difficult to categorize his craft into a single genre, as it creates a bridge across multiple styles including R&B, electronic, and soul. Growing up, he was heavily influenced by the music his mother listened to which mostly consisted of jazz and old school R&B (the only music he was allowed to listen to at the time), but there is much more to his talent. He is a classically trained acoustic guitarist, and the artists he listed to in and post college include Prince, Debussy, and Massive Attack.

His single “Frustrated” has been blowing up on Spotify and has over 1 million views on Youtube. I’m definitely looking forward to his EP release on August 11th this year, and you should be too. Give his music a listen and head to Bardot on Monday – you won’t regret it.
