You don’t often get to see a band you have loved for the better part of a decade play in a living room, but that’s exactly what happened last night when Matt Pond PA stopped by a small townhouse in Burbank.
This amazing experience was the definition of intimate, with only about 25 people total in attendance.
For almost an hour-and-a-half, the band played songs from throughout their extensive catalogue, reaching all the way back to “KC” off of Emblems and “Halloween” off of Several Arrows Later. The performance also highlighted the group’s latest album, Winter Lives, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite Matt Pond albums to date.
If you weren’t one of the lucky 25 that caught last night’s living room show, don’t fret — the band has two more performances here in the LA area before they head back out on the road.
The first show is tomorrow night at Fingerprints Music in Long Beach. That one is free, but you must stop by the store or call (562) 433-4996 in order to RSVP. The following night, Matt Pond and his crew will stop by Resident DTLA. You can purchase tickets to that one, and at only $15, they’re a steal, so make sure you pick yours up before they sell out.
