I’m looking at the lineup for this year’s inaugural When We Were Young festival, and I can hardly believe it. With no prior announcement or press, an unknown promoter has pulled together some of the biggest indie and emo rock bands of today and yesteryear to create a two-day festival guaranteed to satisfy fans.
The two-day fest will be held in The Observatory Grounds, giving concertgoers plenty of space to enjoy incredible headliners like Morrissey, The Descedents, and AFI. I personally can’t wait to catch Taking Back Sunday (they always put on an energetic show); my favorite dark-rock trio, Alkaline Trio (also a great show); and hometown heroes Silversun Pickups.
Two-day passes go on sale this Friday, February 10th, at 10 AM. Given this stacked bill, there’s a good change they’ll sell out, so make sure to grab a pair and avoid those scalpers! See you in the pit!
