My favorite UK rockers The 1975 announced a trio of pop-up shops opening this week around the world just in time for your holiday shopping. Two temporary stores will set up shop across the pond in the men’s home country of England. The only chance Americans will get to shop for “new and exclusive merchandise” is right here in Los Angeles.

It’s been a banner year for The 1975 between their well-received, ’80s-inspired sophomore album I Like It When You Sleep and the following worldwide tour. To top it all off, the group opens their Los Angeles pop-up shop at 6801 Hollywood Blvd in the heart of Hollywood. The store opened yesterday, December 12th, and closes on New Year’s Day, the longest run of any of these surprise shops.

In an increasing effort to utilize social media and connect with fans, musicians have been opening these surprise pop shops. Justin Bieber, Drake, and Kanye added pop-up shops to their global brands this year. The Weeknd was the latest artist to announce last-minute pop-up shops around the country in support of his recently released, already-a-hit album Starboy.
