After releasing Fishing Blues earlier this year, Atmosphere hit the road for their Freshwater Fly Fishermen Tour, and this Saturday hip-hop fans took over The Shrine when the group and their many special guests, including Dilated Peoples, Brother Ali, Aesop Rock, and more, stopped by.

Opening up for Atmosphere were legends Dilated Peoples, a trio with some of the most loyal fans, several of whom were rocking tattoos of their logo. The group took an hour to perform their best songs, including “Good As Gone,” “Worst Comes To Worst,” and (everyone’s favorite) “This Way.” Rakaa and Evidence brought Carlos on stage to help rap. Evidence then brought out Alchemist, and they killed it with “Step Masters” from their 2014 album, Lord Steppington.

Atmosphere set the stage up as a huge fish tank with bubbles blowing as Slug came out to “Like a Fire” from their latest album, Fishing Blues. After a few new tracks, they took it back with “God Loves Ugly” and more older songs for the day one fans.

Atmosphere is still on tour until November, and while tickets are on sale now, they are selling out fast. If you’re near one of the remaining dates, I suggest you make it out to the show. The rest of us can just keeping listening to Fishing Blues.
