I can’t think of a more beautiful festival setting than on the beach watching the sun go down over Southern California. There are countless songs spanning various genres written about SoCal’s beaches, its girls, and that feeling of unequivocal hope that amongst this city’s smoggy excesses lies the key to everything.

It doesn’t matter where you are in life, I still believe watching the sun go down over the ocean while listening to killer music is the stuff happily ever after is made of, which is why I wouldn’t miss this weekend’s Sundown Music Festival in Huntington Beach for anything!

Sundown Music Festival is being held by Activated Presents, who are responsible for such events such as Wet Electric Music Festival, Silent Sun(sets), and many others.

Sundown Music Festival is taking place this weekend, September 17th & 18th, at Huntington State Beach, and festival goers will enjoy a huge span of artists on multiple stages. Expect to see performances by AWOLNATION, New Politics, Robert DeLong, and more, plus DJ sets from NGHTMRE, R3hab, and Tommy Trash!

Sundown Music Festival is also including interactive attractions! Festival goers will have fun in the sun with waterslides, rides, zip lines, and more. Don’t expect just your ordinary beach trip because there will also be massive art installations, gourmet food options, bars, cabanas, bean bags, and hammock. One thing is for sure: bring your sunscreen and a beach towel, but leave the weekday stress and other prohibited items at home!
