The Eat|See|Hear event that marked the first Saturday in September this year definitely had a Western thing going on. It was held at the Gene Autry Museum in Griffith Park, the movie being screened was Quentin Tarantino’s latest epic film The Hateful Eight, and a number of food trucks that served items inspired by sarsaparilla were on hand. We thought it best to give the Western theme a little twist by infusing it with some jungle vibes.

Since May, LA Music Blow has been in attendance to present all of the bands at this year’s summer outdoor movie event series, and this week, we decided to bring out KONG., aka Justin Joyce. David Fisch had the chance to interview him before he and his “Kongregation” performed tracks off of their new EP, Jungle Rock.

Both the interview and performance videos can be seen below, and be sure to enter our contest to win passes to see an ’80s classic written by John Hughes, Pretty In Pink, along with a performance by the lovely and local Isla June before the show this weekend!
