Once we get to August, I’m hit by the startling realization that summer is slowly but surely on its way out and we’ll soon be headed back to school (or whatever we do as adults). While that may be, it shouldn’t get you down, especially when some moments in August includes witnessing a fantastic band like State To State, food truck food, and an outdoor screening of a movie that is literally about Summer.

LA Music Blog has been presenting all of the acts at this year’s summer outdoor movie event series Eat|See|Hear, and the Blog has enlisted David Fisch to interview bands such as the LA-based-but-everywhere-bred alt/post-rock quartet State To State.

In addition to discovering their origins and how they achieve their sound on their new Motives EP, David caught the band performing live in front of Pasadena City Hall ahead of the screening of the 2009 comedy drama romantic breakup all-the-feels movie (500) Days of Summer, which the band also fancies quite a bit. State To State recently put out a music video for their track “Arms” as well, so this is a good opportunity to get better acquainted with them!

Check out the video of David’s interview with State To State as well as an exclusive performance of the track “Jackrabbit” from this past weekend’s event below, and be sure to enter our contest to win passes to see the film that really was Tom Hanks’ breakout hit, Big, as well as a performance by King Washington before the show this weekend!
