We’ve enjoyed a solid number of weekends presenting all of the bands at Eat|See|Hear, and we’ve tried our best to match a band/artist with the movie screening of the night, but I think this past Saturday’s event might have been the most closely associated theme yet.
Eat|See|Hear offers a fun and relaxing Saturday evening for the whole family, but this Saturday delivered a touch of class with a screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s North By Northwest. Famous for its many memorable scenes including Cary Grant’s close shave with a crop dusting plane (and seeing as how Hitchcock was British), we thought it best to present the Brit pop-inspired band Paper Pilots alongside the film. Get it?
Our representative Blogger for the week, Marcus Slater, took this opportunity to chat with Paper Pilots about how they formed, their approach to music, and what they’ve got in store for us in throughout the year, which includes a music video for their latest single “The Weather.”
Check out the video of Marcus’ interview with Paper Pilots below as well as their performance of the single “The Weather” at The Autry, and be sure to enter our contest to win passes to see a classic romantic dreamed in-the-making, (500) Days of Summer, as well as a performance by Dutch Party before the show!
