We are well into summer and officially halfway into our partnership with Eat|See|Hear, the summer outdoor movie series, which makes me think that either time is going way too fast or we’re enjoying it so much that we’re not even looking at the time.
In case you didn’t know already, LA Music Blog is presenting all the bands at each Eat|See|Hear event, and over the weekend, our representative Blogger Marcus Slater reunited with the palm trees and sea breeze at Santa Monica High School to spend his leisure diving into some food truck food and enjoying the giant silver screen!
Of course, before the outdoor screening of John Waters’ cult classic ’80s movie Hairspray (not the one with John Travolta), Marcus caught up with the band Hawai (pronounced huh-why), an Orange County-based quintet of sun-soaked indie alternative that’s on its way to delivering the next great debut LP, set to be released sometime soon.
Check out the video of Marcus’ interview with Hawai below, and be sure to enter our contest to win passes to the essential Alfred Hitchcock classic North By Northwest and a performance by Paper Pilots before the show!
