If you are looking for a fun festival that has the laid-back vibe of Coachella of old plus killer music, I suggest you check out Lightning in a Bottle! 2016 marks the 10th year for the camping and art music festival that’s put on by The Do LaB over Memorial Day weekend.

The lineup for 2016 doesn’t disappoint with three stages: Lightning Stage, Thunder Stage, and the infamous Woogie Stage. Some of the headliners that I’m looking forward to seeing are Justin Jay, Lee Burridge, Autograf, Cashmere Cat, Sacha Robotti, and so many more. The very first festival I ever attended was The Do LaB’s Woogie Weekend, so to see acts on the stage that inspired it is something that I cannot wait to experience.

One of the things that I love about The Do LaB’s events is that they stand behind the slogan, “Leave it better. Leave it beautiful.” This means that any trash festival goers bring with them isn’t left on the ground or at the camp sight. It is taken out with the festival goers when they leave.

Woogie Weekend was my first experience with that kind of mindset and it truly opened my eyes to the amount of trash a small group of people can create in just a couple of days. Considering the number of people at the typical music festival, that amount of trash can lead to a pretty messy festival site! So if you do decide to attend LIB, remember to not only leave your camp site the way it was: leave it better!

Lightning in a Bottle 2016 is set to showcase global musical acts, artists, and installations, totaling over 300 creations and experiences for festival goers. 2016 Lightning in a Bottle tickets are still available, but I wouldn’t wait long; the festival is more than half sold out already!
