When John Lydon chanted out to the crowd, “Turn up the bass!” I could immediately feel and hear rattling behind me. Public Image Ltd managed to literally shake The Fonda Theatre on Sunday night.

The character that John brings out on stage is like no other. His dialogue is rarely simply spoken; it is mainly delivered in shouts or a form of singing that is intertwined with the songs. Lydon and the rest of the band clearly have the best of times performing. They want nothing but pure energy from the crowd in response, and they are not afraid to ask for it.
