Now that we’re coming to the end of the year and beginning to reflect on which artists have made the biggest mark on 2015, Nashville’s Natalie Prass has decided to drop a small reminder of her talent in the shape of new EP, Side By Side, due on November 20th via StarTime International. The EP was recorded at Spacebomb Studios, the same studio where Prass recorded her excellent debut album, and it will feature a mixture of live versions and covers of songs from artists as disparate as Simon and Garfunkel and Grimes.

The EP will certainly act as a fun addendum to what has proven to be a benchmark year for the new musician, and if you’re in any doubt as to her ability to rework another artist’s work and make it sound completely her own, you can watch the video below in which Prass tackles a completely unlikely song, the 1986 thrash-metal classic “Raining Blood” by Slayer, for AV Club’s Undercover series.
