The LA Music Blogcast — the official podcast of LA Music Blog — posts on the Blog every Friday with me, David “DJ” Fisch, co-host/Blog writer Marcus Slater, and musician Naomi Robin. If there are any musical topics or questions that you would like to hear us talk about on future episodes – and likely have them answered by musical guests and industry professionals – please let us know by leaving a comment below or on our Facebook and tweeting us on Twitter with #LAmbCast.

Even if you haven’t seen last year’s remarkable Richard Linklater film Boyhood, you’ve probably at least heard the track “Hero” by LA’s own Family of the Year, which was featured in the many commercials and trailers for the film that ran all throughout award season. That kind of exposure has brought the group plenty of success in just over a couple of years and they’ve attracted many new and adoring fans, including those of us at the Blogcast when they (drummer Sebastian and keyboard/vocalist Christina) stopped by for a fun interview discussing Family of the Year’s new self-titled album, touring, pizza, and more.
