The prayers of Atmosphere fans in California have been answered; the hip-hop duo has added three new shows to their visit to the West Coast! Slug and Ant will be hitting Santa Cruz, Sacramento, San Diego, and Los Angeles before heading out on their European tour.

The Minneapolis based group recently released the first ever fully solar-powered music video for their famous 2007 track “Sunshine.” The video is a fun depiction of the story told in this simple yet perfectly written song. Fans are hoping they perform all their classic throwbacks at upcoming shows, as well as songs from their latest album, Southsiders.

Atmosphere has been around for decades and is an underground must-listen in many song collections. 2014’s Southsiders was the group’s recognition of where they came from and who they are. Slug says, “We have spent the majority of our career — God, we can call it a career! — repping the south side of Minneapolis pretty hard.”

I have seen Atmosphere live, and it was unlike any other concert I have experienced. The crowd is engaged in a way you won’t see with just any other rap group. They will be joining many other top-notch artists at this year’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, one of the many music festivals they will be featured in, so get those tickets fast before you miss out on their dates in California.
