Happy Birthday to musical mastermind Jack White! Hard to believe, but today is his 40th birthday. That’s right, guys — it was way back in 1999 that White released “Fell In Love With A Girl,” and he has been in a league of his own ever since.

Following that massive hit was another we’ve been singing along to for some time now, “Seven Nation Army,” but White’s career didn’t end with The White Stripes. In addition to his collaboration with drummer Megan White, he’s formed other projects such as The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, as well as nurtured a very successful solo career.

In honor of his awesomeness and inspiration, I have chosen a few White Stripes songs that I think are great. There’s only a few, but feel free to keep the momentum going with your favorites in the comments! After all, you only turn 40 once. Let’s relish in his talent. Later, I’m gonna play some White Stripes for my housemates in celebration.

“Hotel Yorba”

“Fell In Love With A Girl”

“Icky Thump”

“My Doorbell”

“Ball and Biscuit”
