The LA Music Blogcast — the official podcast of LA Music Blog — posts on the Blog every Friday. If there are any musical topics or questions that you would like to hear us talk about on future episodes – and likely have them answered by musical guests and industry professionals – please let us know by leaving a comment below or on our Facebook and tweeting us on Twitter with #LAmbCast.

For those of you who’ve followed us on the Blog since at least last year, the name Kiven (pronounced KEY-ven) should be familiar as we’ve talked your ear off about them since their initial appearance as Blogcast guests back in March of that year. But even if you’re just joining us now, the thrill of hearing that name should be the same. Kiven is the hardest rocking LA-based band of the moment, and after you listen to this week’s interview and exclusive performance with the band, they will most definitely be on your radar in the future.

We’re ending the month with an LA Music Blogcast that marks the group’s third appearance on the show, and since our last Kiven interview and the placement of their self-titled debut album on last year’s Top 50 albums list in late-December, the band has been building their following through touring and excellent radio promotions. They are already readying themselves to record their second LP, which we’re betting will outdo their first.

Bandmates Tyler, Matt, Danny, and Jake join me, David “DJ” Fisch, and writer/co-host Marcus Slater for what really is a reunion, chatting away through an hour about all the names they’ve been given, plugging books, possible food ventures, and the state of the artist before blowing our minds with exclusive electrified performances of tracks from their self-titled debut, some of which you can actually see on our YouTube Channel.
