I’ve hardly been shy about my love for livestreams. Not only do I spend most Thursday nights camped out at the TradioV studio to take part in the creation of the LA Music Blogcast, the LAmb’s weekly livestreamed web show, I’ve also written about the joys of experiencing Lollapalooza without braving the winds of Chicago, and “Couchella” has been an annual tradition around the Houser household for the past few years.
Given the above, you can imagine my excitement when I found out Yahoo! Screen was teaming up with Live Nation to create Yahoo! Live, the world’s largest live concert series. For an entire year, the series will livestream a concert a day for eager viewers, and the lineup is everything a music fan could hope for, featuring a healthy mix of current Top 40 chart-toppers (OneRepublic, Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift), classic acts (Yes, Guided By Voices), and talented emerging artists (Ingrid Michaelson, The Neightbourhood) performing everywhere from Iceland to LA’s own Hollywood Bowl.
Next week the series is getting its EDM on with a livestream of Feed Me at Colorado’s Boulder Theater. The performance comes in the middle of Jon Gooch’s newly enhanced Teeth show tour. Using the most high-tech equipment available, Feed Me will deliver an entirely new visual and lighting show featuring 100% original material, including tracks from his recently released EP, Feed Me’s Psychedelic Journey; debut studio album, Calamari Tuesday; and plenty of back-catalog favorites.
If you’re a fan of hard-hitting, bass-heavy electronica, Feed Me is right up your alley, so be sure to tune in to the Feed Me livestream on August 26th at 8pm PST. If you HAVE to miss it, however (you know, for work or some other lame reason), the show will loop for 24 hours, meaning you have plenty of chances to enjoy the Feed Me experience…and all without having to leave your couch.
