San Antonio’s Wild Party has set out to make their mark in the music scene this year. Recently signed to Old Friends Records, the indie-pop newcomers are now in the midst of a coast-to-coast tour, with their first album, Phantom Pop, set for release on October 7th.
The slightly on-again/off-again quartet has been making music since 2009, and they gained a respectable amount of notoriety opening for The Wombats in the UK back in 2010. After taking a couple of years off, they decided to hit the ground running again back home in the US.
Reminiscent of The Killers with a sprinkle of Neon Trees mixed with a bit of fun. and a dash of The Lumineers, Wild Party’s self-described “face-melting pop” is sure to leave you wanting more. Check out their music video for “When I Get Older” off Phantom Pop below.
Now don’t you wish you could see them live?! Well, LA, you’re in luck! Wild Party will be gracing the stages at The Satellite and Cal State University Fullerton on August 27th and 28th respectively. Tickets for the show at The Satellite are on sale now, and with support from Taylor Locke Band and Flagship, you’re gonna want to grab ’em while you still can!
