Well, summer is half over and that is really confusing. LA has been muggy with the occasional mists of rain leaving us on hold for good beach days, yet we are suffering from one of the worst droughts California has ever seen. Thankfully we still have some good music coming our way this summer, and what better way to celebrate the changing climate than a visit with dinosaurs at the La Brea Tar Pits?

The 12th annual Tarfest is presented by LAUNCH, a non-profit dedicated to cultivating an artist/audience relationship throughout the LA area. Through several ongoing features and exhibits, LAUNCH continues to bring art to Angelenos looking to be a part of an ever-changing cultural scene. With Hunter Hunted, The Moth & The Flame, DWNTWN, Tapioca & The Flea, and The Dead Ships on this year’s lineup, some of LA’s hottest bands will be supporting art and culture at Tarfest.

And what’s really amazing is that Tarfest is free! It is genuinely focused on the art being presented. All you have to do is show up, drink beer at the Lagunitas Biergarten, and gorge on food trucks. Come be a part of the action on September 20th!
