Parks and Devastation

The end of summer means only one thing: fall concert season. Unlike duck or rabbit season, this glorious time of year offers some of the greatest tour lineups we can imagine (ducks and bunnies may be cute, but they know nothing about putting on a good concert).

If you like hardcore anything or have a fondness for mosh pits, you don’t want to miss the Parks and Devastation Tour. Headlined by A Day to Remember, this tour package packs the most serious punch of the latter half of 2014. Every band on the bill absolutely rocks.

Opening the show we have Motionless in White, whose new album Reincarnate drops via Fearless Records on September 19th. They always give an eerily intense performance, so getting to the show early is advised.

Up next, Chiodos owns the stage. This band has had one of the most exciting comebacks of 2014. With legendary guitarist Thomas Erak now leading the strings and original vocalist Craig Owens back and better than ever, their set will haunt you and potentially bring back some pretty horrifying high school flashbacks. I wore that many bracelets from Hot Topic why?

In direct support, we have the leaders of the hardcore British Invasion: Bring Me The Horizon. Fronted by recently rehabilitated Oli Sykes, few bands evoke an emotional response from the crowd quite like BMTH. Oli’s powerful stage presence combined with the band’s alluringly heavy sound results in a damn good show.

Finally, the pop-punk princes of A Day To Remember close the night. They have been around for over a decade and show no signs of slowing down, so get ready to hardcore dance (not in living rooms, of course) and scream your heart out when the tour stops by LA’s Shrine Expo Hall on September 24th.
