As we slowly roll into August, the ultimate summer of concerts is still in full swing. The stifling heat in the Valley may be too much for me to handle, but by nightfall, the weather is perfect for summer concerts. Whether you’re looking to unwind or get pumped up, LA Music Blog has you covered once the sun sets on LA with these can’t-miss shows.

Arcade Fire @ The Forum – Friday, August 1, and Saturday, August 2, 2014 – Tickets
Arcade Fire will be taking over The Forum in Inglewood this weekend, performing two shows presented by KROQ as part of their Reflektor tour. This Canadian band makes full use of a wide range of instruments when finely crafting their indie rock. If you’re looking for a way to relax and welcome in the month of August, pick up tickets to either night of this tour.

HARD Summer Music Festival @ Whittier Narrows Recreation Area – August 2 & 3, 2014 – SOLD OUT (sort of)
Since the lineup was announced for this year’s HARD Summer, my friends have been counting down the days. With huge headliners like Jack U, A$ap Mob, Tiesto, and Disclosure, as well as a myriad of DJs guaranteed to get you dancing, HARD owns this weekend’s jumpstart. You can check out our recently posted LAmb Hard Summer Mega Mix to get pumped for the big event. I was unable to get my work shift covered, so I will be leading tours around Universal Studios that day, but I sold my ticket in record time, so despite the festival being sold out, you definitely still have an opportunity to snag a ticket and experience one of the biggest electronic festivals of the summer!

Journey @ Verizon Wireless Amphitheater – Saturday, August 2, 2014 – Tickets
If you are a karaoke fiend like me, you won’t want to miss Journey’s performance this Saturday at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. With support from the Steve Miller Band and Tower of Power, I have no doubt there will be loud sing-alongs all evening long. By this point, Journey definitely caters to fans coming to hear classics like “Don’t Stop Believin'” and “Any Way You want It,” so buckle in and enjoy the ride (just look at how epic the poster is!)
