The Antlers released a music video for “Hotels” this week, making it their second video in support of their forthcoming album Familiars, and like the single itself, the clip is simple yet effective.

Directed by Derrick Belcham, the video boasts a distinctly mysterious air, and the introspective clip perfectly suites the languid ballad. It’s effortlessly beautiful, but feels rather evasive, ultimately making it a compelling watch.

The members of The Antlers are obscured throughout the video for “Hotel” — covered in a shroud of white fog, darkness, or a blurry haze — as they meander through different deconstructed hallways and rooms. You can rarely make out faces, and when you can see clearly, you’re often watching shapes and scenery. Somehow, this makes it is truly beautiful.

The Antlers are coming to The Troubadour in Los Angeles on July 12th, but unfortunately the show is sold out. The new album, Familiars, is out June 17th, and I am pretty pumped about it.
