One week into summer, and the party is officially on! There is something to do for everyone this weekend no matter what kind of music you are into. Everything from funky dance parties to indie festivals will have you ready to celebrate SoCal’s favorite time of year, so put on your dancing shoes and get ready to have some fun!

B.E.T Experience – Friday June 27th, through Sunday, June 29th – LA Live – Tickets

Let’s be honest, this is the main event of the weekend, and not just because it spans all three days. Starting on Friday, you can see Maxwell with The Lady Jill Scott and Future opening up the show at Staples Center. You can also check out The Roots, Outkast, Rick Ross, A$AP Rocky, and a grip more on Saturday. Sunday brings Mary J. Blige and Trey Songz! It’s kind of ridiculous and will be one of the best weekends for R&B and hip hop all year.

Lolipalooza – Saturday, June 28th – The Echoplex – Tickets

Another festival, you ask? Ok! Saturday brings one of LA’s best indie label’s showcase. Lolipop Records and The Echo present Lolipalooza, and no, it’s not the one with Kings Of Leon and Eminem. This is a great showcase featuring some of the best of what independent music has to offer. Featuring Dale Bozzio of Missing Persons, Shannon & The Clams, Lovely Bad Things, and a slew of other local and independent artists, this is a great event that will be worth way more than the $20 you will pay at the door.

Röyksopp & Robyn – Sunday, June 29th – Hollywood Bowl – Tickets

End the weekend big with a trip to the Bowl to see Röyksopp & Robyn groove the night away. This will be a fun and fancy night under the stars that you will not soon forget. Jason Bentley will be hosting a great night filled with music and dancing. Have a great weekend, folks!
