I’ve been following local electro-pop act Kitten since frontwoman Chloe Chaidez was a wee lass of just 15, but if the group’s recently released video for “Money” tells us anything, it’s that the now-19-year-old singer’s childhood is well behind her.

Featuring a scantily-clad Chloe romping in a hotel room with none other than Ariel Pink, the video reveals yet another evolution in sound for a band that, like most teenagers, has spent its formative years in a constant state of reinvention. Just like the band’s captivating frontwoman herself, however, Kitten is now preparing to enter musical adulthood with the release of its full-length debut on June 24th via Elektra Records.

The self-titled album will be celebrated with a hometown record release show at El Rey Theatre on June 21st, which also kicks off the band’s first headlining tour. Presale tickets and ticket/album bundles go on sale today (access those by signing up for Kitten’s mailing list) with the general public able to purchase them this Friday, May 23rd. You can check out Kitten’s 7-track MXTP mixtape featuring “Money” over at Beats Music.
