If you weren’t lucky enough to see Paul McCartney perform his free concert on Hollywood Boulevard last year, don’t despair. Sir Paul’s making his first official concert return to Los Angeles in four years, bringing his Out There tour to Dodger Stadium on August 10.
Paul hasn’t played Chavez Ravine in 48 years — to put that in perspective, not since he was a Beatle. (Their penultimate live performance took place there on August 28th, 1966.) At the time, Dodger Stadium was only four years old. So yeah, it’s been a minute.
I’ve always assumed that Paul McCartney tickets were printed on paper-thin sheets of gold and that I’d have to part with one of my major organs, or at least a limb, to be able to afford them. Imagine my delight when I found out that tickets start at only $25! To see Paul-effing-McCartney! Truly the rock gods have smiled upon us. Tickets just went on sale Monday, so get on it with a quickness if you want to be a part of rock history.
