Last month crowds at Coachella got a chance to hear new tracks from Canadian duo Chromeo’s latest effort, and soon audiences in Europe will be treated to the electrofunk act’s charms as they take their tour overseas.
Dawn Golden – Still Life
Music fans who keep an eye on the Hype Machine charts will recognize the track “All I Want” from Dawn Golden’s solo effort (he’s also a member of LA bliss duo Houses), out today via Mad Decent/Downtown Records.
Kishi Bashi – Lighght
Multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter releases his sophomore album of avant-pop music today via Joyful Noise Recordings. Catch him at The Fonda Theatre in LA this Friday.
Little Dragon – Nabuma Rubberband
Between earning a spot as one of Gerry’s favorite acts at Coachella last month and headlining Lightning in a Bottle Festival in Bradley, CA later this month, Little Dragon is offering up a new album through Loma Vista Recordings.
Michael Jackson – Xscape
The late King of Pop’s second posthumous effort, executive produced by Epic Records Chairman and CEO L.A. Reid, drops today with Timbaland and several other producers lending their talents to “contemporize” MJ’s unfinished tracks.
Mirah – Changing Light
Written and recorded everywhere from the Northwest to Southern California to the East Coast, this new album from the now-Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter is available today on the artist’s own imprint Absolute Magnitude Recordings with support from K Records.
Sylvan Esso – Sylvan Esso
One of Jay’s notable newcomers of the year, the duo of Amelia Randall Meath and Nicholas Sanborn delivers their promising debut album this week. Catch them at The Fonda Theatre on June 5th opening for Tune-Yards.
The Black Keys – Turn Blue
Undoubtedly today’s biggest album release, The Black Keys share their follow-up to 2011’s El Camino today, with frequent collaborator Danger Mouse co-producing.
