Desert-Daze-LEAD-560x245

Whether you attended Coachella, Brokechella, or can’t remember which (hint: it’s probably the former), don’t worry because the music just keeps on coming. In store this weekend is another festival in the desert as well as some great traditional shows here in LA. Check out a few of your many concert options below, and let me know in the comments where you’ll be listening to live music this Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

The Dandy Warhols @ The Roxy – April 25 & 26, 2014 – Sold Out

No “used to” about it. The Dandy Warhols want to be your friend right here and now. Seems like a good chunk of the city is feeling in a very friendly mood as well because these shows are both technically sold out. The intimate venue is sure to generate a couple of electric performances from these rockers, so get in if you can.

Moon Block Party’s Desert Daze 2014 @ Sunset Ranch Oasis (Mecca, CA) – April 26, 2014 – Tickets

This festival makes its home just east of Indio. Grab a few jugs of water, gas up the car, and get right back on the 10. The 3rd annual installment of Desert Daze features Blonde Redhead, The Raveonettes, Autolux, Allah-las, Deap Vally, and more amid the mountainscapes and majestic lakes of Sunset Ranch Oasis.

The Cold and Lovely @ The Satellite – April 27, 2014 – Tickets

This LA Music Blog favorite comprises a couple of music industry vets: Meghan Toohey (The Weepies, Lenka, Schuyler Fisk) and Nicole Fiorentino (The Smashing Pumpkins, Veruca Salt, Spinnerette). Catch them rocking tunes from their enchanting Ellis Bell EP Sunday night, then be sure to tune into next week’s episode of the LA Music Blogcast to catch their live interview with our hosts.
