One of the things I love most about having friends in the music industry is that when they introduce me to something new, chances are it is going to be good. Sam Morrow was one of those recent introductions, and now I want to take a minute to be the friend that introduces you to Sam and his music through an exclusively premiere of the track “14” from his forthcoming release, Ephemeral!
Ephemeral will be out on April 29th with an album release show taking place at Hotel Cafe on May 1st. We briefly spoke to Sam about the track and here is what he had to say:
“My producer and co-writer, Eric Corne, kept challenging me to write a song that detailed my turbulent past. This ended up being that song. I wanted to offset the somewhat dark topic of the lyrics with a more upbeat, bright melody. I think that dichotomy turned out really cool.”
While the track does tell a darker story, I promise you’ll be dancing your way through it. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, and try to tell me you didn’t start dancing in your chair by the end.
Be sure to pick up your tickets now for the show at Hotel Cafe, and for more info:
