Morgan Page has produced tons of quality tracks, including two that were nominated for GRAMMYs, does a weekly podcast, and just came off of a 50-date 3D tour, yet the talented artist shows no signs of slowing down. (If you want to learn more about what makes Morgan tick, check out my interview with him from last week.) Last weekend he took over Avalon for not one but TWO nights, and I had the pleasure of being there on Friday when the supporting acts included Boonie Walker, LazyRich, and Sam Hiller.

Page started that set with a bang and Thomas Gold’s song, “Remember,” and despite (or perhaps due to) the crazy rain that was falling outside, the sold-out crowd was eager to dance. Later in the night, special guest Michael S took the stage and sang his song with Morgan, titled “Against the World.” Morgan’s energy was high all night, and the crowd sang and danced their hearts out to classics such as “The Longest Road,” “In The Air,” and “Fight For You.”

One of my favorite moments of the night was when Morgan Page played an awesome remix of his “Strange Condition” and Empire of the Sun’s “Walking on a Dream.” The visuals were stunning and took the audience to another place, especially when streamers and confetti fell at the end of his set.

Sam Hiller played an amazing set after Morgan. With tracks such as “Celebrate” by Empire of the Sun, “Starwin” by Boys Noize, and “Walter White” by Above and Beyond, he kept the place rocking until just after 4:30am! You can catch him twice a month at Control Fridays at Avalon, and he also hosts Control Radio on Evolution on iHeartRadio every Saturday at 5pm PST/8pm EST. Check him out.
