LA certainly has some impressive venues, and I’ve been fortunate to visit many of them. From the breathtaking Walt Disney Concert Hall to the iconic Santa Monica Pier to the historic Troubadour to the newly remodeled Forum — well, now I’m just bragging, aren’t I? But of all these, my favorite might always be the illustrious Greek Theatre, located in the heart of LA’s Griffith Park, a stone’s throw away from the Observatory.

I’ve always been an outdoor concert kind of gal, and The Greek is the ultimate in outdoor musical enjoyment. The brilliantly lit forest backdrop, the still-intimate atmosphere, and the most helpful and courteous staff I’ve had the pleasure of working with in LA all lend to a unique and unforgettable experience, no matter which of The Greek’s diverse complement of performers are onstage. I’m nuts about the place, in other words — can you tell?

That’s why it’s super-exciting that The Greek announced its 2014 concert series lineup this week, along with their new Premier Access Season Subscription program that allows members to create their own concert series complete with perks that make your concert-going experience much more pimp. And that’s what we all want, isn’t it? To be able to see acts like these in style?:

Sarah McLachlan
Goo Goo Dolls
Ringo Starr
Chicago/REO Speedwagon
Michael McDonald/Toto
ZZ Top/Jeff Beck
Smokey Robinson
Counting Crows/Toad The Wet Sprocket
Crosby, Stills & Nash
Panic! At The Disco

With the P.A.S.S. program, concertgoers are able to choose a series of three or more concerts to attend throughout The Greek’s 2014 season, with corresponding membership levels — silver, gold, and platinum — based on the number of shows attended. Perks include exclusive early ticket purchase, entry to the Mercedes Benz Lounge on The Greek’s Lower Zeus Deck, a designated concession window and priority line, and the opportunity to pre-purchase unstacked parking. Pretty sweet deal, huh? With the lineup The Greek’s offering this year, you’re probably going to be headed there three or more times anyway. Why not reap the benefits?
