Local dance-pop outfit DWTWN has released a new single to announce a new EP, Til Tomorrow, as well as tour dates!

This most recent effort follows 2012’s infectious four-track EP, The Red Room. With the new single and EP title track, “Til Tomorrow,” DWNTWN offers an intriguing cocktail of regret and resolute acceptance. Co-frontman Robert Cepeda sings, “I’ve got my self to blame / Everyday’s the same / I left my dreams alone back in yesterday / But it’s too late to change my ways.” Cepeda’s voice is calm and sober. So calm, in fact, it is eerie. Add in split vocal duties between he and Jamie Leffler, and you have a recipe for a drink that always goes down smooth, no matter how bitter the song’s message.

It’s easy to see where this new EP picks up after The Red Room, and I look forward to hearing what the rest of the new EP brings with its release on April 29th. DWNTWN had previously promised a spring and summer of back-to-back EP releases. If their goal is to whet appetites with an amuse-bouche of music morsels, mission accomplished.

The band will be rocking The Sayers Club on April 29th along with shows in Palm Desert and Santa Ana. Full list of dates below.
