LA’s Chelsea Wolfe treats the act of melodic brooding as a high art form. The beautifully dark malaise of her nordic influences were decidedly front and center on her 2013 release, Pain is Beauty, and now Wolfe has released a video for her latest single off the album, “Feral Love.”

The video’s narrative pits Wolfe singing in a sparse desert setting against found home video footage and dark imagery. The Mark Pellington-directed video stands alone well, but it is also part of a larger project the singer collaborated on with Pellington: his film, Lone.

That film will be released in both a streaming format as well as on custom-designed USB drives, which will be available for pre-order through Chelsea Wolfe’’s artist store, but it’s not Wolfe’s only foray into the film and television industry; “Feral Love” was also recently the featured track in the Game of Thrones Season 4 trailer.

Pain is Beauty marks Wolfe’s fourth studio album, and with it, she is making her greatest impact on the music scene to date. She is currently on tour with Queens of the Stone Age but you can catch her latest effort below. Check out the video and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
