UK and Finland-based trio Above & Beyond — comprising the immensely talented producers Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness, and Paavo Siljamäki — has been producing music for over 13 years now, and while they’re primarily known for their trance and progressive sound, they have recently delved into the acoustic world.

Last October they played two shows at the Greek Theatre following their first-ever acoustic shows at Porchester Hall in London (check out LAmb writer Marcus Slater’s account of one of the Los Angeles shows). For those of us who didn’t make the LA or London shows, there’s the happy news that we will be able to experience the magic via a full-length feature film of the night at Porchester Hall.

The feature-length film will premiere on Friday, January 24th, 2014 on Vice’s THUMP channel, and as a sneak preview of what’s to come, Above & Beyond has released the track “Love Is Not Enough.” Using the lovely vocals of Zoë Johnston, this song shares the heartbreaking feeling that Jono Grant explains by saying, “‘Love Is Not Enough’ is a song from the heart about the challenges in a relationship that can arise outside of a core feeling of love for someone. Love is not enough to be with someone — a relationship needs to work day to day.”

You can pre-order the entire acoustic album, due out on January 28th, on Itunes, and if you do, you receive a free download of “Love Is Not Enough.”
