Incredibly, it’s been two years since the release of Rustie’s stunning debut album, Glass Swords, on Warp Records. That year it was number one on our list of albums made outside the US, and its impact and influence is still being felt today. Even though he has only released one single since then (the awesome double A-side of “Slasherr/ Triadzz”), Rustie has turned up prominently as a producer on the recent Danny Brown album (“Dope Song” was one of that album’s particular highlights), and now the young Scottish producer is preparing for one last trip to this side of the world.

This Sunday, Rustie will make an appearance at Dim Mak Studios, heading up what’s sure to be a pretty spectacular night of bass and electronic music. If you’re the kind of person for whom Sunday night is merely another chance to party, you probably want to redirect yourself here for tickets to this event. If you are unable to make it to the show, you can still enjoy a sample of Rustie’s wares below, and you can join me in watching closely for more developments from the young man throughout 2014.
