Flume has been on something of a tear recently. The Australian producer’s been getting a lot of well-deserved attention since he released the oft-remixed “Holding On,” which is a damn good song in its own right. The guy has a definite knack for mixing soul into electronic productions. Just look to his remix of Disclosure’s “You & Me” if you need convincing of that.

His latest EP, Lockjaw, takes that whole beat’n’blues sound and expands on it with the help of singer Chet Faker. The first single is the head bobber “Drop the the Game.” I can’t help but think that this is what Bon Iver might’ve sounded like if he grew up in Brooklyn instead of Wisconsin. Either way, the video and song are great. Somber, but it’s appropriate for this time of year. Check it.
