A mere 24 hours after taking off from LAX for the brief flight that would transport me to the City of Sin, I breathed a sigh of relief when my pilot announced our descent into Los Angeles. I was exhausted after my whirlwind day covering the filming of an episode of the highly anticipated “In the Booth: Season 2” digital video series presented by Intel and Acer, but for the artist at the center of the production, this jet-setting lifestyle is the norm.

Season 1 of “In The Booth” offered a glimpse into the onstage and backstage life of internationally acclaimed DJ Tiësto as he performed at festivals, planned his College Invasion tour, and flew on private jets from club to club and country to country. Season 2, however, would be painting a more intimate portrait of the EDM pioneer. The artist would be taken out of his comfort zone to show fans the man behind the music, and thus, I found myself hopping a last-minute flight to Las Vegas not to cover a late-night DJ set but to visit Exotics Racing.
