As I much love living in Los Angeles, I do miss the seasons. Picture-perfect weather year round is great, but come August, I miss the leaves turning colors and crisp autumn air. Luckily, fall is the prime time for tours, and almost all my favorite bands are coming through Los Angeles this season. Read on to see what pop rock concerts I’m looking forward to this weekend!
Walk the Moon @ Hollywood Palladium – Friday, October 18, 2013 – Tickets
We love Walk the Moon here at the LA Music Blog, and this Friday, the indie rock quartet will bring their songs to The Palladium. Since releasing their hit single “Anna Sun,” this group has been touring all over the country, performing everywhere from SXSW to David Letterman. The group will hit the studio next month to record their third album, so check them out Friday for what will certainly be a high-energy, face-painting (their tradition) show with a possible preview of new material.
Paramore “The Self Titled Tour” @ Honda Center – Saturday, October 19, 2013 – Tickets
I can’t get enough of Paramore, and this Saturday night one of my must-see pop punk fall tours will hit the Honda Center in Anaheim. Presented by KROQ, this tour is the first arena tour for the trio, and the gang vocals and Hayley Williams’ soaring voice will certainly fill the huge venue. Come rock out with me in the pit!
“Scream It Like You Mean It” Tour featuring Story of the Year @ House of Blues Hollywood – Sunday, October 20, 2013 – Tickets
Story of the Year just celebrated the ten-year anniversary of their seminal album, Page Avenue by releasing an acoustic version entitled Ten Years and Counting. This fall, the band is re-imagining some of the most emotional, memorable tracks of my teenage years on the “Scream It Like You Mean It” tour with other emo rock bands. If you’re looking for passionate gang vocals and intense musicals breakdowns, be sure to stop by the House of Blues on Sunday.
