No time for pleasantries, folks. This week boasts so many noteworthy new album releases, I had to expand my usual list of ten to eleven, which means I need to get started listening asap. Dark, sultry singer from London releases the highly anticipated follow-up to her Mercury and Brit nominated debut album. Catch her at LA’s Royce Hall on November 16th with LA’s own Chelsea Wolfe.

Cage the Elephant – Melophobia
Kentucky rock quintet releases their third full-length in just five years, and it earns the distinction of being the first album I queued up when I opened Spotify this morning. That has to mean something, right? Check out our recent interview with the band to find out more about the album.

Detroit-area duo offers up a sophomore LP of indie-pop goodness. Put on your dancing shoes before listening to this one.

We’ve been enamored by this rocking punk duo for the better part of a year, and today sees the release of the ladies’ debut full-length!


Korn – The Paradigm Shift
Big day for this Grammy Award-winning hard rock act. Not only are they releasing their 11th full-length album, they’re also being inducted into Guitar Center’s RockWalk right here in LA!

After a noteworthy stint hosting and performing on SNL this weekend, Miley releases her fourth full-length studio album today.


Of Montreal – Lousy With Sylvianbriar
Genre-blending psychedelic/pop rock band releases its 12th full-length today, less than two years after the release of Paralytic Stalks.
