Woodkid appreciation has spread through the ranks here at LA Music Blog like wildfire over the past couple of years. David Fisch first brought Yoann Lemoine to our attention via his Top Ten Music Videos of 2011 list, then followed that up with an October 2012 interview with the French music video director/composer. After Hurricane Sandy forced the cancellation of what was to be Woodkid’s debut performance in LA, LAmb writer Jay Chirinos was able to catch the rescheduled performance at The Fonda in May of this year, and Lemoine has grown to be a favorite of many others on our writing staff since then.
On October 25th, Woodkid will be returning to LA for another performance at The Fonda Theatre with Thomas Azier supporting, and because this is one fire we want to keep spreading, we’re offing a lucky reader a free pair of tickets to the show! Plus we’re so sure you’ll be hooked on Woodkid’s mix of orchestral, tribal, and hip-hop sounds after hearing them live, we’re also throwing in a copy of his debut album, The Golden Age, on vinyl!
Here’s how you can enter to win:
1) Leave a comment below this post. Simple as it gets!
4) Follow LA Music Blog on Twitter, then send us a tweet using the hashtag #LAmbWoodkid!
That’s up to six entries total, but if you don’t win, don’t worry. Tickets for the show are still available.
