The past few weeks have been chock full of fall tour announcements, and music lovers are celebrating the fact that so many bands are heading out to promote new albums or just reconnect with fans this fall. Some of my favorites are already on tours now that will last through the fall (John Mayer, fun., and Panic! At The Disco, to name a few), but check out this list of five of my favorite pop punk bands that will begin fall tours in North America soon!
After seeing Man Overboard on this year’s Warped Tour, I’m stoked to catch this pop punk band again with the much poppier Mayday Parade and Cartel. Mayday Parade’s fourth album, Monsters In The Closet, will be released the week before, so this tour will be filled with new songs and undoubtedly some old favorites as well. Here’s to a good pop punk filled night!
Fall Out Boy reunited earlier their year, and fans rejoiced at both the band’s reunion and subsequent album release. Still riding the buzz of Save Rock and Roll, Fall Out Boy will embark on an arena fall tour in September with some seriously talented support. Pete Wentz’s protégé Panic! At The Disco will be promoting their fourth studio album, Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!, slated for an October 8th release. If you have some extra cash, meet and greets are available for all dates.
This pop punk band will be heading out on a nationwide tour to support their recent release, Ocean Avenue Acoustic. Yellowcard has brought serious energy and passion to every live performance I’ve seen, and I’m sure a show celebrating their breakthrough album will be no exception. A wave of nostalgia will hit me with every song, and I can’t wait to sing along.
I missed Jimmy Eat World’s nationwide tour supporting their recently released Damages, so when they announced their second tour before the end of the year, I quickly grabbed tickets. This group will always be one of my favorite bands, and I should count myself lucky that they have been making music and touring for almost twenty years, this fall included.
When Paramore announced their fall stadium tour last month, I swiftly marked my calendar for their Anaheim date. Paramore has been making the television rounds with live performances of their recent single, “Still Into You,” on Conan and the Teen Choice Awards in the past month. Each performance gets me more excited to see Hayley William and Co. bring tracks from their self-titled album to life this fall!
