FYF Fest 2013 lead

One of the most exciting musical events of the year is nearly upon us, and it’s happening right here in the City of Angels! FYF Fest has been working hard for years to bring high-quality musicians and comedians to Los Angeles, and this year the festival celebrates its 10-year anniversary with an absolutely amazing lineup.

FYF Fest will take place the weekend of August 25th & 26th at the beautiful LA State Historic Park, which boasts some incredible views of the Los Angeles skyline. I just spent the weekend there while attending HARD Summer, and let me tell you, if you have not yet been to the park at night, you are truly missing out on some breathtaking views.

FYF Fest 2013 will feature performances from some of the biggest names in music, including My Bloody Valentine, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio, and MGMT. If by chance you are more interested in the comedy aspect of the festival, have no fear! On the bill for FYF Fest are also some of the best established and up-and-coming comedians around, such as Paul Scheer, Rob Huebel, and Jonah Ray.

Now I know what you’re thinking: “But Kylynne, it’s the end of festival season and I’m down to my last few dollars. There’s no way I can afford to spend money on yet another pair of tickets!”

Trust me, I’ve definitely been there before. Thankfully LA Music Blog has teamed up with Goldenvoice to give poor folk like you and me the chance to attend one of the best music festivals of the year by winning a single pair of General Admission weekend passes to FYF Fest!

You have several ways to enter this contest:

1) Leave a comment below this post.

2) Make sure you LIKE LA Music Blog on Facebook. Then simply LIKE, SHARE, or COMMENT ON our contest image for up to THREE chances to win.

3) Follow LA Music Blog on Twitter, then send us a tweet using the hashtag #LAmbFYF.

That’s up to 5 chance to win total! We’ll gather all the entries together and announce our winner via both the LAmb Facebook and Twitter pages on Tuesday, August 20th, at noon.

If luck is not on your side, but you manage to earn a few bucks in the next couple weeks, you can still purchase GA weekend passes to the festival.

FYF Fest is an amazing festival showcasing some amazing talent. Do yourself a favor and enter our contest…or spend the next few weeks scouring your couch cushions for enough change to buy a ticket — your choice.
