Man, I have a tough job. Another Thursday night spent at TradioV’s awesome studio in Hollywood listening to talented artists talk music and offer up intimate performances of their best songs…it really is a rough life I lead. True, while interviewing our first guests, Los Angeles quartet Y Luv, my husband/LAmb co-founder/Blogcast co-host Mikiel Houser decided it would be fun to torment me from the safety of the other side of the glass, but it was all in good fun, and I’m now seriously considering a part-time career as a mime. Eh, maybe I should just stick with music…
Aside from enjoying a stellar performance and laugh-filled interview courtesy of the Y Luv crew, Mikiel and our show host, David Fisch, also had a chance to chat with Tennessean-turned-Angeleno Meg Myers, who treated us to acoustic renditions of two of her tracks, including her new song “Cold.” Friend of the LAmb and music industry professional Norva Denton stopped by for a segment to talk online piracy and streaming, and I can’t forget to mention the gorgeous new LA Music Blog print we had on display over David’s shoulder throughout the show courtesy of Easy Canvas Prints. They really hooked us up with that one, and I gotta say, the quality you get for the price is a steal.
Check ‘em out, and also check out the full episode of last night’s LA Music Blogcast below, then tune in next Thursday from 8-10PM to catch the show LIVE with guests Joe Sib (of SideOneDummy Records) and Los Angeles indie rock trio The Rebel Light!
