Though we are all very upset that Ben Gill will no longer be co-hosting the LA Music Blogcast (our favorite Brit decided to move back to the UK), LAmb co-founder and co-owner Mike Houser valiantly stepped up and took on the responsibility of co-hosting this week’s show with David “DJ” Fisch.

Aside from discussing the new Queens of the Stone Age album, the best music videos of 2013 (thus far), and The Smashing Pumpkins’ re-release of The Aeroplane Flies High, Mike and David sat down with Hey! Hello!, a duo composed of US vocalist Victoria Liedtke and UK multi-instrumentalist Ginger Wildheart (of UK rock group The Wildhearts). The two asked Victoria and Ginger about the meaning behind the band name and pressed them about their self-titled debut album, set to be released by The End Records on July 23rd.

Local garage-rock darlings Criminal Hygiene also made an appearance on last night’s Blogcast to discuss how the band got their start playing small venues around USC, why drummer Sean Erickson (a.k.a “Bird”) was sporting a broken nose, and their non-HD music video. The group also treated us to a pretty rad three-song acoustic set. You can catch Criminal Hygiene at The Satellite in Los Angeles, Saturday, July 13th.

Check out last night’s episode of the LA Music Blogcast below, and be sure to tune in to TradioV LA next Thursday from 8-10pm to watch the show live!
